Why La Redera?
Because mending nets is a craft.
Redera is a Spanish word for a woman who makes and mends fishing nets. In fishing ports, rederas work on the quay, repairing nets by hand, knot by knot. They know that one weak knot can put the whole catch at risk.
We recognise ourselves in that craft: patient, precise, technical and often invisible, but essential to everything that comes after.
